Method note: this card is built on session structure, not on a single reference price. Levels are expressed relative to the Asia range that forms each trading day, so nothing here is a fabricated quote — the live numbers publish at London open in our Telegram channel.

Why this setup
GBPJPY spends Tokyo hours coiling inside a narrow range while JPY crosses sit on their lows, then London walks in and expands it. The highest-quality version of this trade is not the raw break — it is the retest: let price punch above the Asia high, wait for the pullback to hold that old high as support, and buy the hold with a stop just inside the range. If London opens and the range is already long gone, the edge is spent; there is no trade. Three days a week this setup either triggers or voids itself within the first ninety minutes.
Execution notes on XM
- Pending stop order above the Asia high is acceptable for FOMO-prone hands; the retest limit order pays better over a hundred iterations.
- JPY cross spreads widen for a few minutes around the London open — check the live quote, not the advertised number.
- Take TP1, move to breakeven, let TP2 run to London lunch.
- One attempt per day. A second breakout entry after a stop-out is a revenge trade.
How do I follow this setup?
Watch the Asia range on GBPJPY during Tokyo hours, then wait for London to break the range high between 14:00 and 18:00 Bangkok time. Enter on the retest with the published stop and targets, sized at 0.5-1% equity risk. Exact daily levels are posted in our Telegram channel at London open.
What lot size should I use?
Calculate from your stop in pips: at 25 pips risk, 0.01 lot per 1,000 USD of equity keeps risk near 2.5 percent, so most traders should use 0.005-0.01 lot per 1,000 USD. Never size up because a breakout looks strong — size comes from the stop distance, not the excitement.
